Goodwear Shoes was established in 1937 as a family-owned shoe repairer/maker in Liverpool City Centre just before

World War II. During the war the main focus of the business was repairing shoes for the armed forces.
 

Following World War II, the family opened a wholesale warehouse in Liverpool City Centre selling shoes to UK retailers.

In 1979 the company decided to begin importing quality leather baby and children’s shoes from Portugal and Spain.
 

Fast forward to 2001 and the growth of the baby and children’s shoe department had been exponential with our company shifting focus to deal exclusively in the baby and children’s footwear market.
 

In 2011 we were able to source a factory in Portugal to produce the high quality shoes that we had been looking for and then subsequently introduced our own brand to the market, Borboleta™ as well as acquiring the already well established brand Fofito™. Both our brands are now highly regarded within the children’s footwear industry.
